Chalkboard wall and Rainbow cupcakes!

Hello hello!

I decided, along with two of my roommates, to renew the lease of the apartment for next year! I really love living here and I love my roommates. I blindly went into this situation, but I could not have planned it better if I tried. We are hoping that our fourth roommate will choose to live here again, but even if she doesn't, I know we will all still be close friends.

One of the benefits of living here for another year is that we can PAINT! We are allowed to paint, as long as we paint it back to normal when we move out. Now that we know we won't have to paint it back for at least another year and a half we decided to paint...a CHALKBOARD wall! Sara came up with the idea and we all loved it.

Constanza visited over the long weekend and left me with this lovely picture.

Some things I love...

Needless to say, we have enjoyed the chalkboard wall. Baking is a big hobby around here too. Sara and Heather got real artsy and made some "rainbow" cupcakes by separating portions of yellow cake and dying them with food color individually. Then, they layered the colors into the cupcake tins...

I think they could also be called "tie-dye cupcakes". I really want to make FSU ones! I think just the yellow cake batter layered with some red dyed batter would work!

  1. Love the chalkboard wall. Let your creative juices flow. Where in your apartment is it located?
